[He smiles, warm and soft, up at Loki. He misses him when he pulls away, the loss of that connection... at least he stays close though. He brings up a hand to brush through Loki's hair lightly.]

[ his eyes light up at that, genuinely pleased as he leans into thor's touch, pressing his cheek to his brother's palm. ]

I'm glad.

[He guides him up to brush a kiss to his face.]

And you, brother? Satisfied?

[ he thinks about all that brought them here. their time together. the fights, the confessions. the love. thor has always been the only one he has ever loved. the only one he feels he could love, purely and unconditionally.

and thor. thor loves him. thor loves him so much, loki's heart could burst. even in hell, it is untouched. beautiful. it makes loki believe he's beautiful too, in thor's eyes. ]

[It has been a -- long journey in retrospect, but not a bad one at all. Loki is content where he is -- Loki loves him, isn't even hesitant to show it more freely at times.

It's more than he could have hoped for.

He urges Loki to move closer so he can slide an arm around him.]

[ loki curls up against thor, his finger drawing idle circles on his brother's chest. contentment in hell. who would have thought? ]

[He smiles as Loki curls in against him, his fingers idly brushing through his hair as he watches him.

Contentment shouldn't be possible here, but that's the only way to describe how he feels at the moment. Perfect contentment that he doesn't want to end, that he wouldn't dare move from.]
