I'm not certain...

[He gives a shrug of his shoulders before he places his own device down.]

It isn't any less than he has promised us, I suppose... The vision.

He never promised us Asgard.

[ loki paces, feeling like a wild animal. the urge to lash out, to hurt something, someone was building up inside of him. it was the first trickle of hope he had felt since coming here and he wanted it. ]

[stormbreaking]

He promised us a second chance.

[He hadn't thought it ran so deep though. He can't deny that it's-- what he wants. He wants their home back. He wants Loki there with him.]

What if it's true, brother?

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki freezes, staring at the wall. his breath comes out in quick, sharp puffs. it's as though he's struggling to breathe. ]

So what if it is? We cannot trust him. We cannot trust anyone.

[stormbreaking]

That isn't true. There are others we can trust... I'm just not so certain about Lucifer.

[He huffs out a sigh as he pushes himself up to close the distance with Loki.]

What do you suggest then?

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki keeps his back facing thor. he feels on the verge of a mental break, to feel that possibility so close and yet so far. he doesn't have that kind of fortitude. he's selfish. greedy. he'd sell every soul here to have that future. ]

I . . . can't make that decision. I'll leave it to you.

[stormbreaking]

[Thor reaches out to touch his shoulder, giving it a careful squeeze.]

It will hardly do any more harm to play along for now.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki finally turns around, though he keeps his gaze pinned to the floor. ]

Wouldn't it?

[ he raises his head. ]

What would you give to have that?

[stormbreaking]

Loki...

[He lets out a breath as he reaches out to rest a hand on his shoulder, giving it a comforting squeeze.]

Possibly anything, if it was true, but I'm not certain that it is. That level of power-- it would have to be impressive.

[And how can either of them believe that Lucifer is capable of any such thing?]

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki leans closer. ]

I want it.

I want it so much.

[stormbreaking]

[He reaches out when Loki leans in, drawing him in against him.]

I know, Loki... so do I. I'm certain that's why he offered any such thing.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki presses his forehead to thor's shoulder with a shudder, wrapping his arms around thor. a vision of asgard, where thor is king and loki is by his side. as what? loki's arms tighten despite himself. ]

It'll never come true.

[stormbreaking]

[His arms tighten around Loki as he presses in, keeping him close.]

But you at my side may. That's the detail I find important, Loki.

[dothelokimotion]

[ does he believe it? no. but does he want that? yes, all the time. ]

Can I come back?

[stormbreaking]

I won't accept no. You'll come back with me.

[He presses a quick kiss to the top of Loki's head.]

You should have faith in my determination at the very least, Loki.

[dothelokimotion]

I do. Of course I do.

[ he does trust thor. thor has always pulled through. ]

[stormbreaking]

Then it matters little. We will go back together, rebuild Asgard together for our people, Loki.

We simply have to keep our strength and not give up.

[dothelokimotion]

[ his lips curve. ]

Together, then.

[stormbreaking]

Together.

[He brings up a hand to rest against the side of Loki's face.]

what of his other offers? Will you offer him help?

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki tilts his head to kiss thor's palm, his nose wrinkling. ]

I think not. Let him solve his own problems. Though it might be a good chance to learn more of his magics. It might even help me complete my spell.

[stormbreaking]

Perhaps.

[He lets out a soft sigh.]

I think I'll take him up on his offer to lead a group. I would rather know what The Veiled Order is up to while we work on our escape.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki frowns. ]

Is that wise? To do so on your own? And what kind of group will this be?

[stormbreaking]

He said that I can choose it. I won't be careless, Loki.

[He gives him a short smile.]

He also offered my eye back, but-- I think I will pass. I wouldn't trust it.

[dothelokimotion]

[ loki purses his lips but nods. ]

Who will you choose?

[stormbreaking]

I'm not certain yet... Some of the Avengers who remain here, Squalo-- there are options.

[he'll be careful.]
